Delivery Information

How much will it cost?

If you select the items you require the shipping can be seen in the shopping basket before you enter all your address and payment details. The majority of parcels cost £7.99 or less.  Packages over 1m long (this includes 3ft and 4ft posts) posts cost £12.99.

Can I collect my package?

We welcome collection.  We are based in Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN20 9AN.  Please call us at 01323 406212 to arrange collection because we need to arrange for items to picked and packed from the warehouse.

Why do parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland cost more to ship to?
We are charged a premium to ship to these addresses by our courier. Most of what we send is too large or too valuable to send via the post office.

Which Postcodes are effected?
There is a surcharge for the following postcodes All of IV, KA27-28, PH17-26 30-44, 49-50 PA20-49 PA60-78, All of KW, ZE1-3, HS1-9, KW1-14, some AB postcodes and all Channel Island postcodes.

There is also a surcharge on all of the following postcodes KW1-14, IM1-9, TR21-25 and all of  BT postcodes.

For certain packages and areas, there may be additional charges.  We will contact you should extra shipping be required.

How do you ship?
Most items are sent via DPD with a 24hr courier. Smaller items are sent with the Royal Mail.

Where items are sent direct from manufacturers other carriers can be used.

How quickly do you dispatch?
Where orders are placed up until 12pm we aim to dispatch same day. This is our goal but during very busy periods this is not always possible, and orders will be dispatched the following day. Dispatch is subject to the product being in stock.

What happens if you are out of stock?
We hold very large stocks of all the popular items but in busy periods we can sometimes run out for short periods. If this occurs and it looks like it will hold up the order for more than a couple of days we will contact you to advise of the delay and where possible suggest an alternative. We will part dispatch where possible so not to hold up the whole order.

What does 24hr carrier mean?
In terms of couriers 24hr means the next working day. This does not include weekends or bank holidays. Saturday deliveries are available but do cost extra.

Is next working day guaranteed?
In a word NO especially to certain postcodes. Couriers do make mistakes, lorries can break down , parcels can be miss-routed . Not all addresses are easy to find. Most couriers give a 99% next day success rate but no system is perfect.

What happens if it does not arrive?
You will receive an email from us on the day it is dispatched if you have not received the parcel 48 hours after that please give us a call or send an email and we will track the parcel and arrange to get the parcel to you ASAP. The courier should also send you a text message with your tracking details.

If you have not received your items you must let us know within 7 days from the estimated delivery date. Once we know you have not received your item we will investigate the matter fully both internally and with our carriers. Unfortunately we cannot investigate non receipt deliveries after this time has elapsed. Investigations into lost parcels can take up to 14 days. Refunds or replacements will not be issued until the investigation is complete. Orders sent by Royal Mail: We do advise that the majority of orders are received within 1-3 working days of despatch. However, for Royal Mail to class the order as lost in the post we have to allow them 15 working days to deliver before we can arrange a replacement or a refund [this is a Royal Mail rule]. Unfortunately, once the order has been dispatched it is then the responsibility of Royal Mail to deliver your item, and as much as we would like to resolve this for you today we do have to allow them this timescale to deliver.

What happens if I am out?
The courier should leave a card to say he tried to deliver and details of the depo so they can be contacted to arrange re-delivery when you are in.

We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order.  It is important that this address is accurate.  Please be precise about where you would like the goods left if you are out when we deliver.  We cannot accept any liability for any damaged to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.  We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery but delivery times are not guaranteed and therefore time is not of the essence.  In any event, we will aim to deliver your goods within 30 days from the day after we received your order.  If delivery is delayed beyond this time, we will contact you and either agree a mutually acceptable alternative date, or offer you a full refund.

Risk and Ownership

You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to you at the time of delivery to you. If you choose to use your own courier then the risk passes to you as soon as the goods are handed to your courier. You will only own the goods once they have been successfully delivered.

What happens if the parcel is damaged or items are missing?
If when the parcel is left you can see it is damaged please sign for it as NOT CHECKED or PARCEL DAMAGED. Please report any damaged or missing goods to us within 48 hours so we can sort out replacements etc.

International Deliveries:

We regularly ship all over the world.  International deliveries can vary dramatically depending on the country, size of package and certain rules and regulations.  While we do our best to indicate the usual costs when you place your order, we may need to contact you with revised shipping costs.  Delivery times also vary depending upon the item and country we are shipping to.  If your order is urgent, please contact us and we will do our best to indicate the estimated delivery time, although we are, of course, at the mercy of couriers and customs.
