The Heiniger Xplorer Pro has 2 speeds. The lower speed is the same as a standard cordless clipper and goes at 2500 rpm. The high speed setting goes at an impressive 2900 rpm - the same speed as a powerful corded clipper. The Xplorer Pro comes with a 3 year warranty. The clipper is made in Switzerland, but there is a branch here in the UK to manage any problems in the unlikely event they arise.
The tensioning on the Heiniger Pro is also easier than ever before. There is a new 'adaptive tensioning system' that has a colour guide to let you know when you are at the right clipping pressure. As your blades wear down, you simply spin the tension button by a 1/4 turn. You know your blades need replacing once you reach the 'red zone'.
The Xplorer Pro is also light (approx 975 g), well balanced, ergonomically designed and quiet - making it a good option for those clipping for long stretches.
The battery recharges in roughly 90 minutes and allows you to clip for almost 2 hours. There is an indicator on the end of the clipper to let you know how much battery charge you have left.
