Lister Legend Clipper - a great option for tough jobs

Lister Legend Horse Clipper - a great choice if you're looking for a tough reliable clipper!
Every year, we review a large number of horse clippers. We look for reliability, comfort, power, noise levels, low vibrations, low heat and of course, price. Many of our customers work on yards and are looking for a clipper that can handle clipping more than 1 horse. The problem is that the tough clippers are usually the physically heavy clippers - this means that although they can handle clipping more than one horse, the person clipping the horse often gets a tired hand and can't keep clipping themselves!
Each year, we keep coming back to the Lister Legend as being an excellent choice for people clipping a number of horses. It is definitely a little heavier than the entry level clippers like the Lister Star, or the Heiniger Progress. But it still weighs a respectable 980g (plus blades) and has a tapered handle which means it is comfortable to hold. The modern permanent magnet motor delivers 150 watts of power, but has less moving parts than older designs so creates less heat. This, combined with an air cooled head, means it is capable of some very hard work.
The Lister Legend can take all of the Lister blades, including the popular Covercote blade that leaves 5mm of hair (unique to Lister) and even a Wizard blade that can shear a small flock of sheep if required!
At only £272.99 the Legend is very competitively priced for a clipper of its power. Lister holds the Royal Warrant and all the clippers are made here in the UK and are of excellent quality. Another good quality powerful clipper worth consideration is the Heiniger Xperience. This is a fantastic clipper and costs £285.99 - so slightly more expensive and without the range of Lister blades, but it does have a 2 year warranty. To find out more about the Xperience click here
Lister Legend Specifications:
